Microphone Access

Decibel Meter - dB Comparison needs microphone access to estimate nearby sound levels. If the app cannot measure sound, check that microphone permission is enabled in your device settings.

Measurement Notes

The app provides estimated sound level readings using the microphone in your device. Results can vary depending on the device model, microphone condition, case, distance from the sound source, and surrounding environment.

The app is intended for everyday comparison and general awareness. It is not a replacement for a calibrated professional sound level meter.

Privacy

Audio is processed on your device in real time. Audio is not recorded, stored, uploaded, or shared.
