Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the TransitTag app, hereby referred to as the Application, for mobile devices that was created by Spitzwerk Studio, hereby referred to as the Service Provider, as a free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

What Information Does the Application Obtain and How Is It Used?

The Service Provider does not collect, sell, or use your personal information for advertising or analytics. Registration with the Service Provider is not required to use the Application.

TransitTag uses your device location to run location-based tag games, show players on the map, determine win-location proximity, and keep game state accurate while a game is active. Location data is used for gameplay and is not stored by the Service Provider on its own servers.

TransitTag uses notification access to send game-related alerts, such as tag events, timer updates, power-up events, and game warnings. Notification access is used only for app functionality.

Does the Application Collect Precise Real-Time Location Information of the Device?

TransitTag needs precise real-time location information for gameplay. Location access is used to show current or last-known player positions, support runner and chaser mechanics, and check whether a player is near a win location.

The Service Provider does not independently collect or retain your location data. In multiplayer games, gameplay data, including player locations needed for the game, may be shared with other players in the same game through Apple's iCloud CloudKit service.

Do Third Parties See and/or Have Access to Information Obtained by the Application?

TransitTag uses Apple's iCloud CloudKit service for multiplayer functionality. CloudKit may store and sync game information needed to create, join, and play multiplayer games, including player names, game state, join codes, readiness status, win locations, and player locations used by the game.

This information is handled by Apple through iCloud and CloudKit. The Service Provider does not operate separate multiplayer servers and does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

The Application does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, tracking technologies, or tracking domains.

What Are My Opt-Out Rights?

You can stop all access by the Application by uninstalling it. You can also disable location or notification permissions in your device settings, although the Application may not work properly without these permissions.

Children

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider at contact@spitzwerk-studio.com so that the necessary actions can be taken. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country. In some countries, a parent or guardian may do so on your behalf.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. TransitTag does not store your data on Service Provider servers. Multiplayer data is handled through Apple's iCloud CloudKit service, which is governed by Apple's security and privacy practices.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to this Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
